Chilkat Inlet Coastal Hike
Haines, Alaska, United States

Chilkat Inlet Coastal Hike

Follow the Trail Through the Forest Lace up your boots for an Alaskan wilderness hike along a remote coastal trail. Nestled on the Chilkat Peninsula, Chilkat State Park was established in 1975 as part of Alaska’s major state park expansion project. Meet your guide and embark on a scenic drive to the Seduction Point Trail, located at the southern end of the park. At the trailhead, set off down the path to start your 3- to 5-mile hike (dependent on the group and weather conditions). Follow the rolling trail as it winds its way through Sitka spruce–filled forests and muddy bogs en route to the beach at Moose Meadows. Aptly named, this area is home to one of Alaska’s largest moose populations—if you are lucky, you may spot a giant moose grazing beside the water. Revel in Alaska’s natural beauty and take in the striking views of the glaciers from across the fjord before returning to your ship. A liability waiver must be signed to participate in this tour. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
