Explore Alaska’s Stunning Inside Passage From the Water Kayak the waters around Wrangell Island while admiring striking views of the untamed Alaskan wilderness. Meet your guide and embark on a scenic drive to a clearing at the water’s edge, where your kayak will be waiting. After a short safety briefing, board your two-person sea kayak and paddle out behind your guide into the Inside Passage. Navigate the coast of Wrangell Island and two nearby small islands, where curious seals play and eagles soar. Keep watch for the other wildlife that can occasionally be seen here, such as orcas, humpbacks and otters. Completing your route will take approximately two hours roundtrip. Finish at your starting point, where you may re-energize with snacks as you enjoy your beautiful surroundings and interact with your knowledgeable guide. Afterward, you will return to your ship.
