Observe Alaskan Wildlife Up-Close Set sail to seek out whales and other marine wildlife during a private, small group experience. Disembark your ship and transfer to the tender dock, where you will meet your captain and hear a short safety briefing before boarding your vessel. Then, set out along the pristine waters that surround Prince of Wales Island and go in search of iconic Alaskan wildlife. During your cruise, you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of humpback whales as they breach the surface, or sea otters frolicking in the water alongside your boat. Keep watch for sea lions lounging along the shoreline, and look to the skies for an opportunity to spot bald eagles soaring overhead. Throughout your journey, your captain will provide insightful commentary about your surroundings and any wildlife that you encounter.
