Alaskan Crab Catching

Try Your Hand at Trapping Dungeness Crab Set out in search of Dungeness crab, then settle beside a campsite fire to taste your catch. Meet your guide and board your cabin cruiser, then head out into the cold waters of the Inside Passage. Take in the views of the pristine Alaskan wilderness as you cruise to Bostwick Inlet, a scenic bay that is home to thousands of Dungeness crabs. These prized shellfish are known for their tender, sweet meat and versatility in cooking. Upon arrival, you will learn how to bait and set crab pots with your guide. While your pots “soak,” make the most of your visit by exploring the tide pools in the surrounding area or taking a stroll along the beach. Later, you will return to retrieve your crab pots, then head to a wilderness campsite to enjoy a meal featuring your freshly caught crab. Fully sated, return to your awaiting ship. A liability waiver must be signed to participate in this tour. Additional fees to cover fishing licenses must be paid in cash, prior to boarding the vessel. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to
