Cast Your Line in Pursuit of Famous Game Fish Grab your rod and reel and set out for a true Alaskan experience—fishing for wild salmon. There is a reason why Alaska is famous for its salmon: Each summer, millions of these determined fish swim up the state’s rivers and streams to spawn. Your captain will take you to the top spots to give you the best chance of landing one of the five salmon types—king, silver, sockeye, pink or chum. Cast your line and sip on a complimentary beverage as you patiently wait. Afterward, they will clean your prized catch, and your captain can arrange for it to be professionally processed—that is, flash-frozen, smoked or canned—and shipped to your home address for an additional charge.
