Skagway Photo Experience

Learn Professional Photography Tips Travel through Skagway and beyond to capture Alaska’s beauty on camera during a photography excursion. Disembark your ship, board your vehicle and set out with an experienced guide to photograph the picturesque scenery of Skagway and its surrounding area. Journey toward White Pass—located on the border between Alaska and British Columbia, this historic trail was a key route during the Klondike Gold Rush of the late 1890s, traveled by many hopeful prospectors seeking to reach the Yukon interior. At its summit, take time to photograph the sweeping mountain vistas and rugged valleys below. If time permits, you may also visit Dyea, a coastal ghost town steeped in frontier history, where remnants of wooden structures evoke the past. Throughout your excursion, your guide will share technical and creative tips to help you get the perfect shot. Please note: a passport is required to enter Canada. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
