Juneau, Alaska, United States

In Search of Pacific Halibut

Opportunity to Hook a Prized Catch Cruise the waters off the coast of Alaska in search of the world’s largest flatfish—the Pacific halibut. Capable of reaching lengths of eight feet and weighing up to 500 pounds, these strong fighting fish are a prized catch among anglers. Enjoy a scenic cruise as your knowledgeable captain navigates your boat to the fishing grounds; keep watch for glaciers, whales and other marine mammals that also call these waters home. Upon arrival, cast your line and use your skills to try and hook a halibut. Afterward, the expert crew will clean your prized catch, and your captain can arrange for it to be professionally processed and flash-frozen, then shipped to your home address for an additional charge. Please note: a liability waiver must be signed to participate in this tour. A fishing license must be purchased on the Alaska Department of Fish and Game website, prior to boarding the vessel. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
