Bird’s-Eye View of the Alaskan Landscape and Glacier Walk Soar high above the wilderness as you take to the skies on a helicopter flightseeing tour. Meet your pilot at Skagway’s historic waterfront and climb on board. After a safety briefing, prepare for liftoff as you leave civilization behind and discover one of Alaska’s dramatic glaciers. Fly above a rugged landscape of sheer mountain drops and jagged glacial peaks. You may witness the Chilkat Glacier and the cascading waterfalls of the Ferebee Glacier. Or, the Meade Glacier and the “River of Ice” that flows beneath. Touch down to explore a glacier on foot; your pilot will choose his landing spot so you can fully appreciate one of Mother Nature’s greatest sights up close. An experienced naturalist will take you on a walk across its icy terrain and describe nature’s forces at work. Please note: a liability waiver must be signed to participate in this tour.
