Rock Climbing & Rappelling
Outdoor Climb with Scenic Wilderness Views Scale the smooth granite walls of White Pass during a rock climbing and rappelling excursion in the Alaskan wilds. Drive through the historic town of Skagway and up the Klondike Highway. A short hike will lead you to the base of majestic granite cliffs whose faces have been smoothed by retreating glaciers. Put on your climbing shoes, helmet and harness, then receive an introduction to climbing before you ascend the rock face. There are dozens of routes from which to choose; your guide will help you pick the best one for you. Each climb offers inspired views of the Skagway River, the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad and the surrounding Sitka spruce forest. Try a couple of different routes, rappelling down the wall back to the base between runs. Please note: a liability waiver must be signed to participate in this tour.
