Flavors of Puerto Madryn
Sample Local Products at Farms and Vineyards Visit local vintners and farmers for a taste of some of Patagonia’s finest exports. Travel north of the city to a tea factory where you will see how Argentinian teas are produced and taste a selection of blends accompanied by snacks. Then, head to the Ketrawe Estate to learn about production of premium extra virgin olive oil at the southernmost olive entrepreneurship in the world. Next, head to Chacra B&G, a farm and orchard dedicated to producing fresh and dried fruits, nuts and seasonal vegetables. You will sample more items at Finca San Benito, where olives and lavender are grown, and an apiary produces honey from bees. Your final stop will be Finca Caballo Blanco, a vineyard with olive groves and fruit orchards that produces Malbec, Pinot Noir, olive oil and sweets. Here, you will enjoy a three-course lunch and house wines before returning to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines.
