Estancia San Lorenzo Penguin Reserve

Remote Patagonian Penguin Colony on Península Valdés Admire the wildlife of Patagonia at the Estancia San Lorenzo, one of the region’s remotest penguin reserves. Embark on a scenic drive to Península Valdés, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of South America’s finest wildlife reserves. At the visitor’s center, learn about the region’s biodiversity, as well as the local flora and fauna. Then, set out to observe the famous penguin colony at the peninsula’s Estancia San Lorenzo. Enjoy an opportunity to see one of the world’s major penguin rookeries with more than 6,000 nesting Magellanic penguins, as well as other marine birds and wildlife from a strategically located bench overlooking the beach. Afterward, savor a delicious Patagonian asado (barbecue) at a real estancia (cattle ranch). Afterward, you will board your motor coach for the return journey to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
