Punta Loma Nature Reserve by RIB
Encounter Wildlife of the Atlantic Patagonian Waters Enjoy a thrilling ride by RIB as you keep watch for dolphins and stop to observe lounging sea lions at a colony. Take a short walk to the pier, where you will meet your captain. Climb on board, don your life jacket and after a short safety briefing, you will set off on an exhilarating journey across the waves toward the Punta Loma Nature Reserve, home to a year-round colony of up to 600 South American sea lions. Along the way, keep watch for dolphins that are frequently sighted in these waters. Your RIB will slow down as you approach the colony, and your captain will pause, allowing you the opportunity to observe them, basking and barking on the rocks and pebbled shores. South American sea lions can weigh up to 700 pounds and their curious nature often sees them plunge into the waters to get a closer look at their visitors. After time for photographs, journey back to your ship. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
