Whale Watching by RIB

Seek Out One of the Largest Ocean Mammals on Earth Head out into the open waters of one of Iceland’s largest fjords in search of the gentle giants of the sea. Meet your guide and climb on board your RIB—a speedy open vessel that brings you closer to nature. Though sightings can never be guaranteed, the chances of spotting whales here are excellent. Cruise into open waters, where your captain will cut off the engine and his expert eyes will guide your gaze toward any whale activity; you may see a spout of water rise, or a swish of a tail as it breaks the ocean surface. Also, keep your eyes peeled for puffins or a playful seal as their heads bob above the water. Nature’s breathtaking views will be on full display. Please note: It can be quite cold on the open waters so dress warmly. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities. Activities by foot may contain difficult, unpaved surfaces and/or multiple stairs and steep inclines. Total time walking or standing may exceed 3 hours.
