Forillon National Park Walk
Stunning Views of the Canadian Wilderness Set out on foot for a coastal walk through the picturesque Canadian wilderness. Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Forillon National Park. Located on the eastern end of the Appalachian mountain range, it is Quebec’s first national park. With your guide, you will set out on the Du Banc walking trail to explore this natural sanctuary, keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife, including white-tailed deer and an array of seabirds. See the distinctive rock formations, some of which are over 450 million years old, and trace the shoreline as it winds toward the Forillon cliffs and the iconic Cap-des-Rosiers Lighthouse. Pause by the Irish Memorial, a poignant reminder of the lives lost at sea in 1847. Then, after your invigorating 2.5-mile walk, return to base, reboard your motor coach and return to your awaiting ship. Please note: wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
