Nestled in the foothills of the Takshanuk Mountains, the lake is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Board a high-speed catamaran for a scenic cruise to Haines. Then, drive up the coast to the placid waters of Chilkoot Lake. Upon arrival, receive a safety briefing, then take a seat in your kayak. Paddle with your guide into the lake, where you will enjoy the next 90 minutes amid the breathtaking scenery for which Alaska is famous. Admire jagged mountain peaks, blue-tinged glaciers and verdant Sitka spruce trees as you keep watch for otters, eagles, bears and more.
