Brazilian Cooking Class

Learn to Prepare an Authentic Dish Get hands-on during a cookery class and create one of Brazil’s favorite dishes. Travel to Ipanema, where you will head to a kitchen for some insight into Brazilian cuisine. Each of the country’s five regions has its own unique style of cooking with ingredients specific to each area, but one staple is consistent throughout, moqueca : a slow-cooked stew made of fish or prawns with tomatoes, onions and coriander simmered in a clay pot. You will be guided through the process of making it and enjoy some for lunch along with authentic appetizers, side dishes and dessert. Vegetarian options will be available, and you will also have the chance to sample Brazil’s national cocktail, caipirinha , made with cachaça —the country’s most popular spirit—with sugar and lime. Afterward, return to your awaiting ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
