Colonial Lunenburg & Mahone Bay

Seafaring Heritage and an Artisanal Craft Experience Stroll through picturesque Lunenburg and join a hands-on craft workshop in Mahone Bay. Begin with a drive to the vibrant fishing town of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, then set out on foot with your guide to learn about the town’s seafaring heritage. After lunch, proceed by motor coach to Mahone Bay, a nearby resort town. Here, you will call at Amos Pewter, an artisan workshop and boutique—its open studio invites visitors to see the artistic process up-close and learn the techniques for creating jewelry, tableware and more. Learn about each step of the process from a skilled instructor and then try your hand at creating your own wax piece as a memento of your visit. Cap your day with a photo stop at the picturesque Three Churches of Mahone Bay, an iconic symbol of Nova Scotia. Enjoy free time to stroll Main Street before returning to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
