Sample Jamaica’s National Drink at Famous Distillery Enjoy rum tasting and a delicious lunch during a visit to the renowned Joy Spence Appleton Estate. Established in the lush and fertile hills of the Nassau Valley, Appleton Estate has been producing its prize-winning rum since 1749; it is the oldest rum distillery in continuous operation in Jamaica. After a scenic drive through the verdant landscape of St. Elizabeth parish, arrive at the estate and begin your guided tour. Savor your favorite Appleton cocktail, as well as sweet sugarcane and molasses, while you explore the rum distillery and the aging house, and learn more about the history of the estate and its famous rum. You will also have an opportunity to purchase a bottle or two of rum to take with you. Later, sit down to savor a mouthwatering and authentic Jamaican-style lunch in the on-site restaurant.
