Maya Key Private Island Retreat

Relax on a Tropical Oasis Escape to Maya Key, a tranquil island paradise, for a day of fun and relaxation. Here, you will have an opportunity to enjoy the natural setting of pristine beaches, lush gardens, tropical waters and the coral reef. This 11½-acre island oasis is also home to an animal rehabilitation and rescue facility that provides refuge to Honduran jungle cats, such as jaguars and ocelots, as well as monkeys, reptiles and birds. You may choose to participate in one of the daily animal encounters or explore the Mayan Interpretation Center and Ethnic Honduran Art Exhibit Center to get a sense of Roatán’s history and culture. Or you may don a snorkel and mask and discover marine life in the Caribbean Sea. A traditional island picnic buffet lunch will be served overlooking the beach and pool, where you can take a refreshing dip or simply relax in paradise. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
