Oceanographic On Your Own
Vast Underwater World on Display Immerse yourself in the major underwater ecosystems of the planet at Oceanographic. Travel to the City of Arts and Sciences and view the intriguing exteriors of the Hemispheric and Museum of Sciences before stopping at Oceanographic. The aquarium is the largest in Europe and the third largest in the world, with more than one million square feet housing 500 marine species and 45,000 creatures. Europe’s longest transparent underwater tunnel is found here; walk through it as sharks and rays swim above you. Various pools and tanks hold more than 11 million gallons of water, in which the ecosystems of the planet’s most important oceans and seas are reproduced. The aquarium is divided into two sections: one houses fish and invertebrates while the other features all kinds of marine mammals. A large central lake surrounds the many themed buildings, all interconnected by wooden foot bridges. Spend time exploring at your leisure before returning to your ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines.
