Baking at Øvre-Eide Farm

Learn to Make Lefser , Traditional Norwegian Flatbread Enjoy a hands-on demonstration of how to make a traditional Norwegian baked good. Embark on a short transfer outside of Bergen to the idyllic shores of Lake Jordal and Øvre-Eide Farm, a family-run estate that traces its roots back to the 16th century. Upon arrival, receive a warm welcome from your hosts and take a stroll around the scenic grounds and observe the animals that live here. Then, head to the kitchen for an up-close and personal lesson on making lefser , a traditional soft Norwegian flatbread. Learn the techniques and tools used to prepare the dough, as well as the different ingredients that can be added to the recipe. After your course, you will receive an informal certificate of completion, as well as the lefser you made to take back with you. Say goodbye to your hosts, and with delicious flatbread in hand, return to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
