Kunōzan Tōshō-gū Shrine & Tea Plantation Walk

Enjoy a Sacred Shrine and Panoramic Views Visit two of the most famous sights in central Japan that combine its legendary, scenic atmosphere. Set out by motor coach to Mt. Kuno and visit the lavish Kunōzan Tōshō-gū shrine. Founded in 1617 on sacred grounds, the temple constitutes a national treasure and resting place of the famous shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu. Upon arrival, take a cable car to the entrance. Explore the archetypal Tōshō-gū shrine and admire the extravagant wood carvings, gold leaf and colorful Japanese lacquer. Continue to the Nihondaira Tea Hall where you will enjoy a stroll of the plantation. Try your hand at the art of plucking tea leaves; careful selection and precision is essential to ensure leaves are of the highest quality. Enjoy a refreshing cup as you admire the views—on a clear day Mt. Fuji can be seen. Afterward, return to your ship. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
