Mangkunegaran Palace & Prambanan Temple

Royal and Spiritual Compounds Uncover Java’s history during visits to a royal palace complex and a UNESCO-designated Hindu temple. Depart via motor coach for Mangkunegaran Palace. Since its initial construction in 1757, it has undergone a series of renovations. Today, its traditional Javanese architecture is complemented by additions in the Dutch colonial style. Explore the expansive grounds, viewing the open pavilions and the dalem , the former royal residence. Once the bridechamber of the duke and duchess, it now houses royal artifacts including clothing, weaponry and jewelry. Following lunch within the palace grounds, continue to Prambanan Temple. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. Glimpse its towering spires and shrines dedicated to Hindu gods including Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer, before returning to your ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
