Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), Malaysia

Iconic Sights of Kuala Lumpur

Explore the Capital’s Highlights View striking Kuala Lumpur highlights including the Blue Mosque, and enjoy free time in the city’s Golden Triangle. Ride from port past impressive new developments, then enjoy a photo stop at the landmark Blue Mosque. One of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia, it can hold 24,000 worshippers. Next is the National Monument, a bronze statue honoring soldiers who died during the Communist Insurgency in the 1950s. It was designed by Felix De Weldon, who also created the Iwo Jima monument. After lunch you will see Independence Square, and stop for a photo of the world’s tallest twin skyscraper, Petronas Towers. Near the Golden Triangle, you will have time at the Karyaneka Handicraft center to shop for pewter, crystal, glass, and textiles, or to watch a batik painting demonstration. Before returning to port, you will ride to the top of the needle-like Kuala Lumpur Tower for 360-degree views. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
