Batu Caves & Pewter Factory

Explore a Network of Hindu Cave Shrines and a Pewter Center Marvel at the Batu Caves, a massive Hindu temple complex housed within a 400-million-year-old limestone hill. Located just six miles north of Kuala Lumpur, the caves attract thousands of devotees from around the world, thanks to its religious significance and the sheer scale of its treasures. It comprises a complex network of caves, including one situated at the top of a steep, 272-step climb. Called the Cathedral Cave or Temple Cave, it has a spectacular 330-foot-high arched ceiling and features ornate Hindu shrines. There is also a 142-foot-high statue of Murugan, a Hindu deity, and an impressive art gallery and museum. Then, visit the Royal Selangor Visitor’s Center, the world’s largest pewter manufacturer.
