Alaskan Beach Discovery Take in the beauty of the Sitka Sound as you explore a secluded beach and keep watch for local wildlife. Board a heated boat, custom-designed for the Alaskan wilderness, and set sail into the pristine waters. Your captain will plan an expedition suited to the weather and conditions of the day. A naturalist guide will share insights about the area and its wildlife as you sail through miles of ocean, heading for the protected waters of the Sitka Sound, framed by snowcapped mountains, an ancient volcano and forested islands. Stop at a remote island to explore the beach’s colorful tide pools or stroll along the shore in search of wildlife tracks. Throughout your visit, watch out for the animals who make their home here—if you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of otters in the water, bald eagles flying overhead and more.
