Sea Otter & Wildlife Quest
Sitka, Alaska, United States

Sea Otter & Wildlife Quest

Navigate the Straits and Passageways of Sitka Sound Be on the lookout for local wildlife as you cruise the waters of the Sitka Sound. Set along the rugged western edge of Baranof Island, the sound is a maze of narrow passages and numerous islands that is home to the greatest variety of wildlife in Southeast Alaska, including sea otters. These playful creatures can often be seen floating on their backs and frolicking offshore. You will meet your knowledgeable guide and board your boat, a high-speed expedition vessel equipped with comfortable seating, wraparound windows and a heated cabin. Sit back and relax or observe from the outside viewing deck as your skipper navigates the strait. Keep watch for otters and other marine mammals, such as whales, dolphins and sea lions, as well as brown bears, puffins, bald eagles and more. At the end of your journey, you will return to shore and transfer to your ship. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
