Japanese Dinner & Geisha Show in Old Aoyama Villa

Experience Japanese Culture at a Historic Residence Visit a 20th-century villa and enjoy a delicious meal accompanied by an authentic geisha performance. Board your motor coach and set out for the Old Aoyama Villa. Now a designated historical site, this luxurious villa was once the home of the Aoyama family, known for their success in the herring fishing industry. After marveling at the intricate woodwork and handcrafted roof tiles, continue to the restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal of local fare. While you dine, you will be treated to a performance by geisha, skilled Japanese female performers who are educated in the ancient traditions of art, dance and singing. Geisha emerged as an important part of Japanese culture during the 18th century and were highly valued and popular among Japan’s upper classes. After your meal, you will return to your awaiting ship with an appreciation for the skill of these expert performers. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
