See an Array of Wildlife on the Otago Peninsula Visit a working family farm and embark on a journey of discovery where you will see albatross, penguins and more. Grab your binoculars and set out to explore the conservation reserves and beaches at the Clearwater Family Farm, home to more wildlife per square meter than anywhere else in Dunedin. Secluded platforms provide the perfect vantage point to see the animals in their natural habitats. As you observe, your guide will share insights with you about the wildlife that you encounter. Yellow-eyed penguins are among the species you may see during your excursion; also known as hoiho , these are some of the world’s rarest and shyest penguins. If you are lucky, you may also see sea lions and fur seals in the water, as well as albatross and other seabirds soaring above. After your wildlife viewing experience, enjoy a lunch of local fare before returning to your awaiting ship.
