Archipelago Boat Safari & Seafood Lunch
Bergen, Norway

Archipelago Boat Safari & Seafood Lunch

Set Sail for an Authentic Taste of Norwegian Cuisine Gain insight into Bergen’s seafaring traditions and more as you set sail for a delectable culinary experience. The waters around Bergen are home to some of Norway’s finest seafood, thanks to their numerous inlets and channels, as well as the many small, rocky islands. Take a stroll to the pier, board your vessel and meet your captain, Alf Roald Sætre, also known as “Oyster Dundee.” Admire the picturesque surroundings as your captain navigates through the archipelago and draws on his background as a sailor, diver and oyster farmer to share captivating insights into the local marine life, Bergen’s culinary scene and its seafaring traditions. Drop anchor in a scenic bay to enjoy a delicious lunch made of locally sourced seafood, including sea urchin, scallops, lobster and crab (seasonally dependent). Once your appetite is sated, raise the anchor and begin your journey back to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
