A Taste of Morocco
Agadir, Morocco

A Taste of Morocco

Learn to Create Flavorful Moroccan Dishes Receive an introduction to Moroccan cuisine and its ingredients before cooking and enjoying lunch. Long considered one of the most diversified cuisines in the world, the country’s culinary traditions combine Arab, Berber, Moorish, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean African, Iberian and Jewish influences. Travel to the Argan Museum in Taghazout to learn about the eponymous trees that grow only in a small area of the Atlas Mountains. Argan oil plays an important role in Berber cuisine, and you will usually find it in most, if not all, cooked foods. The museum is also where a chef will introduce you to the basics of Moroccan cooking as you prepare a meat and olive dish in a tajine; berkoukech, a traditional couscous, and a Moroccan salad. Then, sit down with your fellow guests and enjoy lunch, with dates and honey for dessert, before returning to your ship in Agadir. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
