Local History and Picturesque Surroundings Explore the picturesque sights and interesting history of Oahu’s intriguing North Shore. Embark on a scenic drive by motor coach and take in the sweeping views of the coastline and the Ko’olau Mountain range, which dominates the eastern half of the island. Along the way, listen to your guide as they share fun facts and personal anecdotes, and keep watch for green sea turtles basking in the surf. Enjoy the coastal views over several striking beaches and stop at the Valley of the Temples to visit the Byodo-In Temple, a respite of manicured gardens and meditation sites. Built during the mid-20th century, the temple is a Hawaii state landmark. You will also view the expansive pineapple fields at the historic Dole Plantation.
