Get an Up Close Look at Majestic Fjords Get an intimate view of Norway’s majestic fjords during a thrilling cruise in a rigid-hulled inflatable boat (RIB). You will proceed to your embarkation point in Eidfjord with your guide. There, you will don your required thermal floating gear and board a safe and comfortable RIB. For the next hour, you will skim along the steely waters at high speed, sea spray in your face and the soaring slopes of Eidfjord around you. These towering cliffs were created more than 8,000 years ago when the ice-age glaciers receded and the lower parts of the valley were filled with seawater. People have called this fertile area home since before the time of the Vikings. Pass small farms and scenic landscapes on your way to Hardanger Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in Norway, before returning to port. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines.
