Bay of Islands by Catamaran

Embark on a Nautical Journey Sail through the stunning sights of Bay of Islands to view a historic lighthouse and scenic seascape. Board your “power cat,” a catamaran designed for comfort with indoor and open deck seating, and settle in for your journey through the Bay of Islands. Navigate these calm, beautiful waters to see the historic Cape Brett Lighthouse and admire the spectacular coastline. Next, you will circle Motukōkako Island at the outer limit of the Bay of Islands. This island hosts the Hole in the Rock, a natural wonder formed over centuries by wind and waves. Weather permitting, your captain may sail through this scenic marvel before heading back to port. Meander past a few of the bay’s 144 islands as you return. Admire their verdant splendor and keep an eye out for New Zealand’s birds, including Caspian terns and black-winged gulls. * Easy - Walking portions are generally over easy surfaces with few steps or inclines. Total time walking or standing is normally not longer than 1.5 hours.
