Pearl Harbor Battlefield Experience
Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum & USS Missouri Remember the “date which will live in infamy” during an exclusive-access tour of the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Visit the bullet-hole pocked hangars that withstood the attack on December 7, 1941, and view American and Japanese aircraft from the era. Learn about the little-known harrowing battle that took place on the tiny island of Niihau between a stranded Japanese pilot and the island residents that thwarted his escape and enjoy sweeping views over one of World War II's most famous battlefields from the historic Ford Island Control Tower. After enjoying a buffet-style lunch, step on board the USS Missouri battleship, where the Japanese formally surrendered on September 2, 1945, and brought World War II to an end. Hear the story and see the impact of a kamikaze attack, then explore below deck. Afterward, you will return to your ship. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines.
