Zwin Nature Park

The International Airport for Birds Embark on a guided exploration of the Zwin Nature Park, a sustainable reserve nestled on the Belgian coast. Established in 1952 by Count Léon Lippens, the Zwin Nature Park was the first Flemish nature reserve. It is a major stopover point for a range of species of migratory birds, including ducks, geese, gulls and more, many of which also breed here. Its abundant birdlife means that it is often known as the “international airport for birds.” Journey by motor coach to this natural haven, where you will meet your guide and set out to explore the reserve. It features a rich ecosystem composed of tidal flats, salt marshes and coastal landscapes. During your visit, you may spot some of the birds who migrate and breed here, as well as small mammals including rabbits and foxes, and the amphibians that make their homes in the wetlands. At the end of your excursion, return to your ship. Please note: wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. * Demanding - Physically challenging activities, including extensive walks, hiking, riding, water sports, and high altitude activities.
