Deep Sea Angling Expedition Explore Norway’s historic connection to the sea on a traditional fishing expedition. Join professional fishermen on board a fishing boat, then leave the picturesque harbor of Stavanger behind for the fish-abundant waters of the archipelago. Journey to the best local fishing spots with your experienced captain and guide, cast your line into the water and attempt to hook cod, whiting, haddock, coalfish or European sea bass—found only as far north as Norway’s southern waters. Enjoy the unspoiled surroundings and stories of Norway’s fishing history as you wait for the fish to take the bait. With a bit of luck, one will bite, and you can reel in your catch, taking a picture with your fish before releasing it back into the water. At the end of your time at sea, you will return to the harbor and your ship. Please note: Fishing gear will be provided. Bring appropriate clothes for the weather conditions. Minimum height is 4 feet. * Moderate - Walking portions may be long and somewhat challenging with occasional step-ups, stairs and inclines. Total time walking or standing normally ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours.
