Enjoy Progreso’s Lagoons and Beaches Paddle through Progreso’s hidden lagoons by kayak and visit a local beach to enjoy time at your leisure. Begin your excursion with a scenic ride through picturesque Progreso aboard an open-top vehicle. Take in the sights of the city as you make your way to your kayak launch area, nestled within a lush mangrove reserve. Upon arrival, you will don your life jacket and hear a brief safety overview from your guide. After this orientation, it’s time to climb into a double kayak and set off through the mangroves. The natural surroundings offer a beautiful backdrop for a peaceful paddle, and you will have the chance to observe a variety of birdlife and vegetation as you glide along the water and pass through nesting grounds.
